- Why now
AgentOS X was built to run on infrastructure you control. Self-hosting is only half a promise if the OS itself cannot be read. We are publishing the source so founders and small companies can inspect the system they install—not only the product page.
- What is public
This release covers the AgentOS X operating-system source: runtime, system interface and modules, image-build scripts, and user-facing install and troubleshooting guides. The license is MIT.
- What does not change
Official install images and version patches remain on downloads.aiagentnet.cloud. GitHub Releases are not the primary image channel. The product set is unchanged: AgentOS X, AIAGENTNET IM, and AIAGENTNET MAIL. Paid capabilities such as the office suite still unlock with a plan. Publishing the OS source is not converting the company store to free. The mission line does not change: Replace, for the irreplaceable.
